Hey, hi.

I've been out of posting since...ever.

Lots of things happened in the meantime.
First, I'm actually studying hard at Polimoda Fashion Institute. Area: fashion marketing.

Then, I decided to give my blog a go again, because now that I'm studying the fashion system from inside, I feel like I have something different to say, that's why

THIS WON'T BE A COMMON BLOG ANYMORE, BUT IT'S GOING TO LOOK LIKE A STYLE REPORT
So watch out.
And get off if you're merely interested in little girls' dayly outfits.

This is what my life is about now, with all its pros and cons:

Moving to Florence

I think I won't be able to blog for a while, again. :(
Well, at least my luggage is cute.

I've been so busy lately, really TOO busy:
-studying to pass my marketing exams to be able to join the Polimoda Fashion Institute in Florence
-taking that holy exam
-celebrating the fact that I successfully passed it (I was the only one, between the 25guys that took the exams with me that morning, that achieved such a high score that immediately passed, hell yeah!)

And then...moving to Florence.
The flat is a mess, it is all covered in dust, but me and my roommates will break our backs and do our best to make it liveable.
Not to mention that I'm super sad of having to leave...even if I'm just 2hours far from home, by train.

My life's gonna change and I might not be ready.
Anyway...fashion world, here I come! This is gonna be hard, though.

Uhm...let's celebrate again, first! (I'm sorry, I took those photos with my webcam)

Barefoot Tonight

I can't wait to spend my evening drinking cocktails on the beach, barefoot.
Enough said! :)

Ladies or Gentlemen (fall/winter 2011)

Fall/Winter 2011, ladies OR gentlemen.

Preview of this winter 2011/2012 trends, inspired by the D&G and Dsquared2 campaigns.
Do you think you're more like a lady, a gentleman, or both?

Styling a Miss.

Last week my friend Giulia decided to participate in a beauty contest, so I helped her with mak-up, hair and clothes: I was her stylist!

Girls from all over Italy participated and Giulia passed the first selection, but then she didn't win the crown. Anyway she was the one with the best and bigger fans club!

<-- her "elegant" oufit.
Dress from her wardrobe, my rose bracelet and key necklace, from New Look.

And here's Giulia with number10 (the second on the left) during the "casual outfit" part of the contest, with other gils that were participating:
wearing ankle boots, basic white t-shirt and vintage jeans jacket from her wardrobe, my golden chains from H&M and vintage brown bandana.
I also managed to look after every detail, so I did her a nail-art too, using H&M cracked nailpolish and a simple gray one from Essence:

Too bad that she din't win, but it was a very funny and crazy night so we enjoyed it anyway!

I miss Amy.

And her voice too.

Another girl with fierce attitude, another lost soul, another great voice has passed by. But we'll never forget her.

Fred Butler

She's an english-based fashion designer. Her accessories are well known for being so full of amazing colors and games of shapes and proportions.

Of course, for her innovative ideas, many artists chose to work with her, such as Beth Ditto, Lady Gaga (see photo, yes the "Telephone Hat" is one of her creations), La Roux (see photo) and Nicki Minaj (see photo):

I think she's a real genius.
I just show you the littlest (and more commercial, maybe) part of her creations, but take a look at her website if you're willing to see more: fredbutlerstyle.com

Liberté, Egalité, Beyoncé.

I HAD to post this genius. How could I not share his t-shirt? Please excuse me for my trashy moment.

I'm DIYed and I'm back

(that's not an artistic photo, it'ts just that my face was a total mess, believe me.)

Ok so I already know that I passed my exam, but now I'm waiting for the results...finger crossed!

The things I know for sure is that I had a lot of free time and lots of parties. Hell yeah, I needed it so much.
But I'm thinking about my future, too, because now that I have finished school I want to find out wich university suits me best... and I dreamed about studying at Polimoda in Florence since I was a child, but that's really expensive. We'll see.

More free time = more DIYs.
So, since I spotted some beautiful feather earrings everywhere but I couldn't really find a pair in store, I made them!
I used some super-fake black feathers (no innocent chickens involved!), a little chain and a empty earring base that you can find in any craft store or similar.

It's very simple, 'cos I thought it was already something quite big and important itself, so I didn't want to let it become "too much".
Maybe you can see it better down here:

Not inspired yet? Have a look here:
Ok I wasn't inspired by Gwyneth, or Vanessa Hudgens

but by this girl right here, the queen of all the feather earrings, the one that maybe made people talk about them, the beautiful and creative Romi from the Showtime series "The Real L Word":

One day I'll create an earring even bigger than hers!

Have a nice week!
